This is an old revision of the document!
There are currently several options for woodturning operations:
- a Record Power lathe on loan from Steve. In good working condition
- An old, DIY(?) wood lathe that no one has attempted to use
- The Shopsmith Mark V can be used as a wood lathe, but we have not configured it as such (and may be missing parts needed to do so)
- Needs a faceplate ($25-$30 from Shopsmith)
- Tailstock is supposedly MT2 tapered, so we should be able to get a live center for fairly cheap
Additionally, we have a pen-turning mandrel for the Record Power lathe (or any other lathe with an MT1 taper)
