A list of tasks that would make the space more usable.
Rearrangement:
We'll be moving the dividing pallet racks to turn the former “wet lab” into the “dirty” shop space (i.e. woodworking/metalworking/etc.), and shrink the “clean” part of the space somewhat.DONE!
- We have to start thinking about some of the larger unusable things in the space. We have roughly a thousand square feet of area, and don't have room for everything. Tough decisions are going to have to be made.
Lighting:
We need replacement overhead lights in the space. Additional lighting for the shop area would also be highly desirable.
- Find out what kind of bulbs the over heads use and acquire a few
- We have a LED “replacement fluorescent” tube that showed up a while ago. does it work?
- its specifications seem weird - 46.5VDC?
- I brought in a cheapo halogen worklight to use as well.
- How is the light over the shop area controlled? It seems intermittent, or is controlled in a way I do not understand- expert opinions lean towards intermittent or problematic. FLIR imaging of light indicates it's getting power, but bulb is either dead (already!) or otherwise nonfunctional
IT:
- Backup this wiki content on a regular basis
- Better optimize ethernet runs around the space
- Migrate web page to either wiki or a landing page on the server
