Shop Safety
- No open-toed shoes
- Long hair must be tied back/secured
Basic Procedures:
- Cutting blanks to length (bandsaw)
- Drilling/reaming blanks (Drill Press)
- Insert/glue tubes
- Machine blanks to length (belt/disc sander?)
- Mount blanks on lathe mandrel (lathe)
- Turning the pens (lathe)
- rough turning to round
- turning to approximate diameter
- Sanding/finishing (lathe)
- Pen assembly
