A while ago, we received a donation of a Stratasys FDM2000 3D printer. According to the donor, “it was working when we put it on the shelf”. In practice, that hasn't been the case.
A suggested path towards making this beast work is to toss out the Stratasys electronics and replace it with a RAMPS board or similar. This might also require replacing the extruders.
Current Status: We did get a supposedly compatible version of the Stratasys software, and have had some limited success communicating with the printer. Much more testing is needed.
Current Status: Scrapped. Some parts may be reused in the New 3D Printer Project or other projects.
