A Project to build a custom 3D printer from parts a) at the space and/or b) readily available for cheap if necessary. This in part will build on our attempts to revive a dead Stratasys FDM2000 Printer

We have the following pieces:

• XY stage from the scrapped FDM2000
• A large quantity of stepper motors
• linear bearings and rails of various types
• RAMPS and RAMBo 3D printer control boards
• Power supplies
• Extruder parts
• OpenBeam and other extrusion
• Taig Micro Lathe, MaxNC mill, and Monoprice MP Select Mini 3D printer with which to make any necessary custom parts

Add-ons that might be cool:

• Ability to swap 3D printer head with a (2-3W) laser engraver head?
