A brief list of significant events in the history of Makers' Alliance *April 16-19, 2009 - Members of several existing (NYC Resistor, HackLabTO,HacDC,Pumping Station:One, Noisebridge) and soon-to-be-formed (i3Detroit) hackerspaces set up a [[https://wiki.hackerspaces.org/Notacon_6|"Temporary Hackerspace" at Notacon 6]] in Cleveland. A sign-up sheet for those expressing interest in a space for Cleveland is distributed. *For the first couple of weeks, the emerging group is known as "The Sandbox" *April 22,2009 - Officialy Founded (first email on the original mailing list that I can find seems to be from this date). *April 29, 2009 - Name is decided to be Makers' Alliance *May 13, 2009 - First official meeting (at Gypsy Bean Coffee) *October 6, 2009 - Articles of Incorporation filed with the State of Ohio *December 20, 2009 - First appearance of the gear/lightbulb/circuit logo on the mailing list *December 2009/January 2010 - Merged with NEOMakers/Burning River Proto Space *January 2010 - Moved into the Carnegie Avenue ("Flower Shop") space *Spring 2010 - Rocket Powered Pinewood Derby *July/August 2010 - Moved out of the Carnegie Avenue space, and into the Broadway Ave space *March 8, 2011 - Received 501(c)(3) status, effective October 2009 *June 18, 2011 - Moved out of the Broadway Ave space *July 2011-January 2012 - Meetings occur at Collective Upcycle, The Phoenix Project, and Shaker LaunchHouse *October 23, 2011 - Had a presence at the inaugural Pittsburgh Mini Maker Faire. *February 4, 2012 - Moved into Shaker LaunchHouse *September 2012 - Held our first soldering workshop at the Ingenuity Festival (and have been there every year since) *April 13, 2013 - Participated in the inaugural Cleveland Mini Maker Faire (and have been there every year since) *November 2014 - Participated in the Night Makers Ball, in conjunction with Scene Magazine *March 28, 2015 - Held Arduino Day workshops in conjunction with CWRU Think[box] *June 2016 - Shaker LaunchHouse became The Dealership *April 2017 - Shaker Makers at the Dealership *April 2018 - Moved to IngenuityLabs at the Hamilton Collaborative. *2020 - Moved to remote activities during COVID-19 Pandemic *November 2020 - Made a video for the virtual Cleveland Maker Faire *2021 - Moved to a hybrid (part in-person. part remote) meeting setup *September 2021 - Participated in Ingenuity On The Lake *November 2021 - Participated in the 2021 Cleveland Maker Faire
